Arrival and Departure
- test takers should arrive at Wayland High School by 7.30 AM so that they can be in their testing room by 7.45
- the PSAT generally ends around 11.00 AM; it consists of 2 hours and 10 minutes of testing time, not including breaks; with breaks, total testing time is between 2.5 and 3 hours
What to bring with you (from College Board's website):
- pencils
- acceptable calculator (click here for College Board's list of acceptable calculators)
College Board's Cell Phone & Electronic Devices Policy (click here)
- College Board suggests that cell phones and other electronic devices not be brought to the test center
- while Wayland recognizes that this is unrealistic in most cases, please be very clear about College Board's cell phone policy: if a phone is powered on (not even used) for any reason during testing, scores are automatically cancelled
Testing Room Locations Within Wayland High School
- specific locations will be designated by signs posted just inside the main entrance to the south / left building
- generally, testing will take place in the language and history sections
- generally, SSD Tests (students with approved accommodations) will be tested on the first floor in the English section
